SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 40

Plymale, McCabe, Helmick, Edgell, Anderson, Minard, Sharpe, Ross,
Rowe, Caldwell, Oliverio, Sprouse, Minear, Boley, Kessler,
Bowman, Snyder and Tomblin, Mr. President)
Congratulating the Williamson High School boys' basketball team on
winning the 2001 Class A championship.
Whereas, The Williamson High School boys' basketball team had
an exceptional season which earned it the opportunity to
participate in the 2001 Class A championship playoffs; and
Whereas, The Williamson High School boys' basketball team won
the Class A championship; and
Whereas, Head coach Curt Fletcher and assistant coaches
Garland Thompson and Joel Anderson are to be commended on their
outstanding leadership ability; and
Whereas, The players on the Williamson High School boys'
basketball team, including Chris Carroll, Josh Fletcher, Gregory
Ledger, Derek Cochran, Shawn Williamson, Jerry Russell, Odas
Francis, Garrett Gregory, Ben Hannah, Marc Sanger and Matthew
Phillips, are commended on their outstanding athletic ability, team
spirit and sportsmanship; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Williamson High
School boys' basketball team on winning the 2001 Class A
championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the coaches and each team member of
the Williamson High School boys' basketball team.
